Looking at the world through rose-colored glasses

My cohorts are unable to see the irony of their own words.  What you think I’m saying and what I’m actually saying are worlds apart.  You’re no different than the Media Cartel who try to define what Conservatism is, by using your own terms.  You can not see the world through my eyes, much less try to describe what I see.

There is no conspiracy theory.  The media is biased, according to their own words.  In an independent study done late last year, most reporters aligned themselves as liberals.  Media owners are large contributers to liberal candidates and special interest groups.  Most media (print, television, etc.) are owned by the same seven megacorporations.  By most, I mean that about 90% of everything you read and watch on television ultimately comes from the same source.  All liberal.  It’s not a matter of opinion or conspiracy, it’s documented fact that the media is biased.

You make it sound that I am a supporter of George Bush, when in fact, I am not.  I don’t agree with much of anything he has done over the last 8 years.  His inadequacies as President helped set up the defeats we Conservatives have suffered in both the Congress and the White House.  But George Bush is not the anti-christ either.  The American people have been led to believe that the President has all-encompassing power that he simply doesn’t have.  Most of the failures attributed to Bush by the media and the American people rightfully belong in the lap of the largely liberal Congress.

War was waged when we were attacked on 9/11.  They struck first, we didn’t.  They struck several times under Clinton’s watch, and we did nothing about it.  People oppose any war, it’s just the way of things.  No one wants to send their son overseas to die.  The closed mouth way the Bush Administration has handled the whole affair has only added fuel to the fire of a war that most Americans simply don’t understand.  We’re in Iraq because the terror regime roams the borders of the middle east looking for a home.  A weak country they can invade and take over.  They need money coming in to fund their activities.  Iraq was that safe-haven, and we have taken it away from them.  The surge has succeeded, but we need to get the country on its feet before we leave.  If we don’t, al-Queda will be back stronger than ever.

The government has spent our social security money long ago.  I can not afford to fund the retirement of a generation more than triple the size of my own.  Social security was meant to be a temporary fix to a problem 50 years ago, and instead has become a crutch and mainstay for government control and spending.  It is not the job of government to administer retirement plans, nor health insurance to the American people.  Yet another simple fact that most Americans can’t grasp.  A large majority of those 47 million uninsured have chosen not to accept insurance through their employer.  Another large portion are the wealthy, who are self-insured.  Don’t let the numbers mislead you.

I am not rich.  I barely qualify for lower-middle class.  Yet even I can see the significance in tax breaks for businesses and the wealthy.  These are the people who supply jobs for the American economy.  They are the backbone of capitalism.  When they are overtaxed, we all pay higher prices.  When they are way overtaxed, our jobs move overseas.  Businesses are there to make money.  If they can’t turn a profit within our borders, they will find a new home.  Punishing success is one of the most rediculous foundations of liberalism.  Those who achieve will cease to achieve when what they have worked for is redistributed to those who did not earn it.  Those principals have been applied throughout history in Europe and failed.  Most people want to work hard and reap the rewards of their work.  Not have it handed out to those who have done nothing.

The current financial crisis is a result of our culture, not George Bush policy.  As Americans, we want everything now.  Credit has made that possible.  All credit is based upon the 30 year mortgage, which is not a fragile thing under normal circumstances.  However, when the liberal-sponsored Freddy Mae and Freddy Mac programs instituted by Jimmy Carter and revised again by Bill Clinton gave loans to people who couldn’t pay them back, our financial system collapsed.  These government programs gave huge payouts to Democrats in Congress, Barack Obama included.  Yet another example of the government interfering with private industry and failing.  The recession is a direct result of the average American household carrying nearly $16,000 in credit card debt and homes that aren’t worth anything anymore because banks are very wary of who they’re loaning money to these days.

You, as an American citizen are entitled to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.  You are not entitled to health care, a retirement savings account, or a cheap home to live in.  This is the land of the free, the home of the brave.  If you’re willing to work hard, nothing here is supposed to stop you.  This is the founding principal of capitalism.  Those who work the hardest, reap the rewards.  We have become a jealous nation who thinks everyone is entitled to the same thing.  Despite being taxed nearly out of existence, private industry and donors far eclipse the donations of the U.S. government to charity and world causes.  We are a generous nation, we don’t need the government to step in with a roll of red tape at every turn.  Take some personal responsibility, and make something of yourself.  Don’t expect your neighbor to give up part of what he’s earned to help you out.

Will I hold on to family values, traditions, and my Conservative roots over the next four years?  You bet your ass I will.  If upholding a way of life my grandparents fought and died to protect makes people look down their hippy noses at me, then that’s a badge of honor I’ll proudly wear.  Your baby-killing and same sex marriage movement is slowly killing off future generations of Democrat voters, and that’s just fine with me.  I’m not interested in your brand of change, or reaching across the aisle to work with you.  I will not light a candle and stand with you in unity.  I will not be bi-partisan in an effort to reach an agreement.  To do so would be giving up half of my principals.  Liberalism is to be defeated and cast into the abyss of history where it belongs.

There will be a resurgence of Conservatism in 2012, of this I am certain.  Someone will step forward with new ideas and a new voice, just as Reagan did.  His ideas were radical at the time, but proved to be exactly what the country needed after a failed administration under the liberal guidance of Jimmy Carter.

Don’t pretend to look at the world through rose-colored glasses.  Don’t wave around the flag of liberalism and claim to have the authority to brand others with the iron of Conservatism.  Free men will not be oppressed to serve their government.  The shores of this country have never been invaded by foreign foot soldiers for a reason.  We are an armed and free nation, and the American people absolutely will stand up for freedom and defend what they have worked to build.  They’re certainly not going to stand idly by and let the founding principals of this country be destroyed from within.

Not so fast…

If nothing else, the very least you guys could do is stop referring to the current Bush Administration as Conservative.  I have said it time and time again, but apparently it doesn’t sink into your thick, liberal skulls…

George W. Bush is not a Conservative.  Period.

Your vague attempts at trying to build ties to conservatism and Bush have lost their luster.  The damage has been done, and Obama is President-elect.  His entire platform of “I’m not Bush” has been built up by the media and spoon-fed to a gullible and uniformed public, and they bought it.  Regardless of what you think, Obama has been a media darling from day one.  He’s been portrayed as a rock star, a visionary, and proponent of change and hope.  It’s all hogwash.  If he wasn’t black, he would’ve just been another candidate, and that’s the simple truth whether you can see it or not.

This election has been a case study for campaigning in new millenium.  I will give Obama props for his efforts.  Both his internet marketing and ground troops really put things together for him, even if ACORN had a hand in all of it.  Personally, I think there will be some scandal in the coming months over his campaign finances, but we’ll have to wait and see.

As for not fighting against Obama, I don’t see that happening.  The last time I checked, which as 1:00am EST stats, Obama has about 51% of the popular vote.  In other words, regardless of the Electoral College victory, at least half of the country didn’t vote for him.  That’s not a “decisive” victory.  That’s not a country unified for change and a new direction.  That’s Obama squeaking by because he got 95% of the black vote and because of his campaign’s efforts to get college students to the polls.  Again, because he’s the black rock star.  It has nothing to do with his policies or experience or stance on issues.

The 51% of Americans who stood up with one voice are about to be clubbed in the kneecaps with the big heavy stick of the most liberal government in history.  The public at large has been so confused and misinformed about what socialism is, are about to find out first-hand.  Don’t make it sound like this was some kind of overwhelming decision, because it wasn’t.  As time goes on, the support for Obama will wane as his policies are introduced.  And God help us once he and Biden implement their Pakistan strategy.  I hope you have a fallout shelter.

Americans weigh in, elect Obama

As of midnight, EST, Barack Obama is the President-elect of the United States.  McCain has already given his concession speech, which I thought was very gracious.  Even in defeat, he stood proud, and squashed boos from the crowd whenever he mentioned Obama’s name.  While the popular vote remains within a few percentage points, the Electoral College shows Obama with a near 2-to-1 victory over McCain.

Racism part of the formula?

Exit poll data agrees with pre-voting data that 90-95% of black voters went with Obama.  I was flipping back and forth between my local news, Fox News, and (P)MSNBC.  I can only stand so much of Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews.  When all of a sudden, Jesse Jackson is on camera…crying.  Isn’t this the same man who said he wanted to cut Obama’s nuts off?  Perhaps he’s crying because he knows he’s out of a job.  He has made a living of keeping the black man down, and now one is the next President of the United States.  Have a nice retirement, Jesse.

Hope and Change.  America’s new direction.

What’s even more important is the shape of Congress, which is also making a shift to the left.  With Obama in the Oval Office, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid at the helm of Congress, and an overwhelming majority in both the House and the Senate, the people have decided America’s new direction.  We are no longer a nation of values and security.  We have become a nation of entitlements and self-importance.  Say hello to higher taxes, a stagnant economy, a weakened military, and a joke for international policy.  Start stockpiling your soup cans and flashlights, America.  If the next terror attack doesn’t destroy us, our own government will.

Final thoughts…

Republicans need to get their act together.  The good old boys need to be shown the door, and the party needs to return to its roots of Conservatism.  They have shifted too far to the center, and are no longer the party of new ideas and reform.  They are moderate Democrats.  As I sit here listening to Obama’s speech, and the chants from the crowd, I’m reminded of just how mezmerized the American people are by this man.  This has been a popularity contest, a freak show instigated by the media and allowed to remain unchecked by the McCain campaign and the Republican party for fear of backlash and being branded racist.

If we can somehow manage to survive the next four years, I believe the Obama Nation will have caused enough damage to allow a massive shift in power in 2012 to the right.  By then, Americans will have seen enough of the real Barack Obama to make the right choice.  I only hope it won’t be too late.

Remember the Constitution! Vote for McCain.

Nobel Prize winning Al Gore would’ve made a great candidate to run for President this year, don’t you think?  That’s quite a feather in one’s cap.  So why didn’t he run?  Because his “documentary” was filled with easily debunked myths and outright lies.  Aside from making more money doing his global warming pitch, he knew that he would be made out to be a fraud in the national spotlight.  No one even says global warming these days, it’s all about “global climate change”.  Thanks to Al Gore, scientists have been coming forward in droves to debunk the myths associated with his Hollywood-aimed flick.

What’s the definition of stealing?  It’s the taking of someone’s rightful property without asking.  I’m pretty sure the 2000 election was asked of the American people, it wasn’t the Democrat’s property.  Something can not be stolen if it’s not owned.  The media has once again put forth vast effort into this election rightfully belonging to Barack Obama.  I’ve got news for them…we will not go quietly into the night.  The President of the United States is sworn to uphold the Constitution, the founding document of this great nation.

John McCain has taken that oath several times in his life, Barack Obama talks about Nazism when referring to our Constitution.  Do you honestly expect that he will uphold its values and traditions?  Can you picture him placing his hand on the Bible and swearing to protect the document that so many have died to protect?

Obama the patriot, who is close friends with domestic terrorist Bill Ayers.

Obama the uniter, who attended a segregationalist church and wrote about his disdain for white people.

Obama the capitalist, who lies about his tax plan in order to cover up his true intentions.

Obama the leader, who wants to invade nuclear Pakistan while disassembling our military.

Join me, America, and elect John McCain for President.  Vote for freedom, individual responsibility and accountability, and a free-market society.  Vote for a true patriot who has dedicated nearly his entire life to the service of his country.  Vote for a real uniter, who blurs party lines in the interest of accomplishing like-minded goals.  Vote for a capitalist who sees the real value of the American worker, who won’t ship jobs overseas by making things even harder on American businesses.  Vote for John McCain, a real leader who will ensure the safe return of our troops in Iraq and who will protect our interests in other parts of the world.

Send socialism back to where it belongs, into the history books of failed government policy and ideology.

Research shows that those who refuse to participate in surveys tend to be less likely to vote for a black candidate.

Read that headline again. Now read it a third time. Isn’t that one of the most ridiculous things you’ve ever read? Credit one of the nation’s most ridiculous newspapers, the New York Times for publishing it in this article.  Where is this research?  How did they research people who…decline to be researched?  They live across the street in Democratville where all this polling data about Obama’s lead is coming from.

It’s Friday, kids.  Election Day is just around the corner.  It’s time to start putting together your Election Emergency Preparedness Kits.  You’ll be facing long lines at the polls, so it’s best to go in ready for anything:

1)  Don’t forget your ID.  That way when you find out you’ve already voted for Obama because some ACORN hack stole your vote, you can prove who you really are.

2)  Bring snacks/munchies.  You’ll want to try to avoid long lines by heading over to the polls right after work, which may mean skipping dinner.  Bring along some Cheetos or something.  If an Obama supporter starts rambling on next to you, just toss one in his mouth.  Maybe he’ll shut up.

3)  Dress appropriately.  Kevlar body armor fits nicely under a heavy winter jacket.  Just a tip.

4)  Most importantly…and seriously…leave the kids at home.  There’s going to be a lot of nutty people out there voting in this heated race.  Special police have already been called in here in Ohio to cover the polling areas.  Who knows what kind of nutjobs may show up to harrass you, so don’t bring your kids.

John McCain likes kids by the way.  😉

New Sport: Synchrozined Presidental Debating

The proof, they say, is in the pudding:

Markets continue slide at prospect of an Obama win

NEW YORK, NY (SR) – As Barack Obama’s lead grows in the polls, the stock market continues its precipitous slide, and many Wall Street analysts claim the two are directly related.

“Heck yeah, they’re related,” says a Senior Analyst Tinsdale Weeks. “Socialism and the stock market don’t mix, and every investor with an IQ higher than a swim fin knows Barry is Hugo Chavez on crack.”

Investors are clearly worried by Obama’s plan calling for numerous tax increases [including reinstatement of the Death Tax, ed.], a jump in the capital-gains rate, massive expansion of government and public-works projects, increases in foreign aid to hostile regimes, and a token $500 welfare check that he calls a tax cut to everyone else.

Democrats are fearful that a McCain victory would lead to a strong bull market that would create wealth, thereby causing widespread resentment among their base.

In this election there is clearly enough worry for everyone.

Obama the socialist? I think so.

Obama - Marx - Socialist - Election 2008

While gentlemanly and healthy debate can be a good thing, it’s boring. Which is why Jerry Springer gets more face time than political debates. People are more interested when the gloves come off, when people start swinging and pulling hair. One has to be careful though. You certainly want to get your point across, but without sounding like an off-the-wall hack like Keith Olbermann.

I recently posted a link to a YouTube video, which is actually an audio clip from a radio appearance Obama made in Chicago in 2001.  If you look around, you can find the full 53 minute audio of the entire radio program.  While the link I provided is edited for length, as it focuses on Obama’s comments only, it has not been tampered with or remixed.  Period.  I’ve listened to the 53 minute version too, and it’s the same.  However, if you’ve read James’ article, you’d believe the sound bites were “cherry-picked”.

Recently, there has been much speculation about Barack Obama, and whether or not he believes in socialist ideologies. I’m here to put that speculation to and end, once and for all.  In Obama’s first book, Dreams of My Father, he wrote:

“One who has read Marx cannot fail to see that corporations are not only what Marx referred to as the advanced stage of capitalism,” he wrote. “But Marx even called it finance capitalism by which a few would control the finances of so many, and through this, have not only economic power but political power as well.”

These are Obama’s own words.

Mary Mapes at it again

Ex-CBS journalist Mary Mapes takes a swipe at the conservative blogosphere today.   Claiming that with the looming victory of Barack Obama in less than two weeks, Conservo-bloggers such as myself won’t have anything to write about.  In her article on the Huffington Post, Mapes says “the monster is dying”.  Bloggers raised questions about some of the sources of Mapes’ research on President Bush’s military service, which led to an internal investigation in 2004.  Ultimately, Mapes, a former Peabody Award winner, was fired in what has become known as “Memogate” or “Rathergate”.  The scandal is rumored to have hastened the departure of long time anchor, Dan Rather as well.

Mary…shut up.  We’re not going anywhere.  If anything, an Obama White House, unless he renames it the Black House, will only give us reason to shout even louder.  You’re a hack, a has-been, trying to cash in on the Obama Express just like Colin Powell and all the others.  America is cheering now because they’re stupid.  They believe the lies in the media because you’ve been telling them for years how much America sucks.

Help me Obama-Wan Baracki…you’re my only hope.

Politico: Worst Debate Ever?

Politico is up with a piece on last night’s joint press conference (otherwise known as the second presidential debate.) Politico piles on the overwhelming sentiment from last night, that the debate and its format were garbage. Generally, I agree with the article, but they’re defense of Tom Brokaw I would have to disagree with…

It’s not Brokaw’s fault. Or Jim Lehrer’s…

To lump Brokaw’s performance in with Lehrer’s is absurd. Brokaw threw his hands up from moment one. Refusing to jump in at the first whiff of a talking point was indeed at Brokaw’s discretion. Jim Lehrer set the tone early in the debate by pressing the candidates to answer what they would change in light of the economic crisis. While they may have dodged giving a totally direct answer, the tone was set for the night and a real debate took place.

Brokaw was certainly at a disadvantage with the town hall format, but rather than fight for his fellow questioners he was content to sit back and allow the candidates to recite the talking points we’ve heard before. Moreover, in his “discussion” periods rather than get a simple clarification to something already said, Brokaw would ask candidates to compress BOTH of their answers to a window of a minute or less. That would have been OK. But he would ask open-ended “coffee talk” style questions:

Russia: Evil Empire Yes or No?

Ridiculous.

Name the Obama Doctrine, name in the McCain doctrine, in 60 seconds please so we can get to section F’s question. It was a bad format and the candidates were primed with stock answers, but Brokaw dropped the ball.
